| Wood ceramics, which are the subject of much attention
as new materials that impose little burdon
on the earth's environment, are porous carbon-based
materials that are manufactured by impregnating
wood or paper materials such as scrap lumber,
sawdust, and old paper with phenol and baking
them at high temperature in a vacuum. Many applications are presently being developed for wood ceramics. We are developng " humidity sensors that employ wood ceramics " . Proceeding with research and development toward solving the problems of previous humidity sensors and coming up with cheap, high-precision. mold-free humidity sensors, we have completed a second prototype machine, and currently we are conducting repeated reliability tests and accumulating data in addition, we are also helping to develop products that make use of wood ceramics.
